About
Built inside a working studio.
Shotsheet wasn't dreamed up in a pitch deck. It started as the internal planning tool inside a busy photo & video studio in Toronto, because group chats and spreadsheets kept dropping shots on fourteen-hour days.
The first version had no name and one job: make sure every shooter walked on set already knowing every shot — the framing, the lens, the moment it happens, the reference it's chasing. Plans got drafted, argued over, approved by a senior eye, and locked before shoot day. Blown sunsets and "I thought you had that angle" mostly disappeared.
After enough weddings, product launches, brand shoots, and engagement sessions, it was obvious the tool was doing work other studios were still doing in threads and printouts. So we gave it a name, built real walls between studios, and opened the doors.
What we believe
- The plan is the product. A great shoot is decided before the day. Software should make planning feel as craftful as shooting.
- Shooters live on phones. Shoot-day tools get one hand, bad light, and three seconds of attention. Design for that.
- Approval should mean something. When a plan says approved, a senior person read it. Trails, not mysteries.
- Your brand, front and center. Clients hold your PDF, not ours. Shotsheet stays out of sight.
- Walls between studios. Your plans, your chat, your style — isolated at the database level, hosted in Canada.
Shotsheet is made in Toronto and still gets hardened the same way it started: on real shoots first.
